Train them to use a littler box. If it is already trained, then make sure the littler is clean in the littler box, or that nothing has changed with the litter box, as cans are known to sometime be picky with things such as that. Also, you might want to check if the kitty has diarrhea. Is the stool loose or firm? If loose, than there is a good chance of diarrhea, and you certainly cannot get mad at your little kitty for that!
