The ozone layer is located in the lower stratosphere, not the mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere, or troposphere. It is minimum in the exosphere, and in the lower troposphere. The most total ozone, and the maximum ozone concentration are found in the lower stratosphere. This region is called he "ozone layer". Ozone is located in all layers of the atmosphere. Ozone is in the highest concentration (10ppm) in the tropopause (or lower part of the stratosphere), decreasing to near zero above or below this region. It increases slightly again (<1 ppm) in the troposphere, due in part to the actions of Man.
