Poverty is one of the most common challenges to eduction. Obviously this is prevalent in post-secondary education as costs for a university and college education are skyrocketing, but it can also be seen in elementary, middle and high schools. Costs for school supplies, books, uniforms, etc: really add up over time and some families that are experiencing financial difficulties may not be able to afford all of the necessities for sending their child to school.
Location is also a major challenge, mostly in 3rd world countries. This also ties in with the poverty concern, as countries with less access to finances and resources are unable to build a multitude of schools and some children may not have transportation access to schools that are built further away from their villages.

For contemporary rooms, choose a curtain rod that is sleek and non-fussy. Steel, black, or white finishes are usually good options for a modern decor. Avoid rods that feature elaborate detailing. Any decorative detail should be simple, clean-lined, and geometric, rather than elaborate and representational (e.g. pine cones and beaded finials.)
