My aunt had same ptosis complaint in right eyelid. This had lead to cosmetic isssues and impacted her confidence as she was doing front desk executive job.Even after normal vision, she faced difficulty in viewing things due to drooping eyelid as well as headaches at night. We met a few doctors but no promising results were seen. Then we consulted Dr. Debraj Shome is internationally trained best oculoplastic surgeon in India and was also the head of plastic surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. Now he is at Nova specialty surgery, Mumbai. He discussed the case with us, was very compassionate, soft spoken doctor who assured us to bring back her simiar look and opted for ptosis surgery. Now post surgery, both her eylids are looking exactly the same and got it was a good cosmetic surgery result. We would definitely say he does the best ptosis surgery in Mumbai.

I do not know of any nonsurgical correction for ptosis. I had it in one eye and had surgery for it. The surgery was outpatient and not bad at all. Painful once the pain medicine wears off, but that's what the pain medicine is for. Ice it down for a few days and then the sutures inside the lid dissolve. I would recommend anyone to have the surgery (as long as they have insurance). I can see better and I look more normal without the drooping. Unfortunately, I am having problems with the other eye now. Please post a message if anyone has a nonsurgical correction...
