This varies from person to person and from different settings. A psychologist with their own private practice might work only a few hours one day but many the next, if they set their own hours. Someone in an institutional setting would probably work something closer to a "regular" shift (nine to five, for example).

This is why it is good to inquire at the psychologist's place of business or, if you're looking for a job, it's good to ask before you apply.
