It's do help people with there problem. If somone is depressed then the psychiatrist is supposed to help youe get over it and see what you are thinking.

They are to listen to your problems and try their best to help you with whatever the problem is.

The psychiatrist will first listen to what happened from a parent or friends point of view. Then they will come in and speak with the person and try to get them to talk. If the person decides to talk, the psychiatrist will genenerally repeat back what they say, (a.k.a.- person: They are mean to me and it hurts my feelings. psychiatrist: You don't like it when they hurt your feelings.) If the person has sense, they will tell them that they want help, no people reapeating them. then the psychiatrist will probably give them medicine.

They wake up in the morning with and drink a strong cup of black coffee. They go to work just to find anotherdisturbed person rocking themselves on a comfortable couch in their office. Woe is the psychiatrist.
