A lot of people are confused between the French and Industrial Revolutions because (1) they both have the word "revolution" in them, (2) they both take place in Europe, (3) and they both take place at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. However, the French Revolution and Industrial Revolution are fundamentally different affairs.
The Commercial Revolution led to the adoption of mercantilism in Europe, while the Industrial Revolution contributed to the end of mercantilism.
Napoleon marks the end of the French Revolution.

it ended in the north i think.

The industrial revolution is important because it marked the beginning of the factories and the end of the Agriculutural society. At this time people were moving into the cities to find factory jobs because it was now possible for fewer people to work the same amount of land because of the inventions during the agricultural revolution. It is also important because of the rising of the bourgeois, and the low conditions the workers had to live and work in. It is important from an economics point of view because it is the beginning of capitalism. Hope this was helpful.
