The DBZ movie are said to be between the DBZ series'. But a lot of them doesn't make any sense.
Dead Zone: It should have taken place before the fight with Raditz. Before the battle with Raditz in the DBZ series, Piccolo and Goku team up for the first time. But the Dead Zone movie should have taken place before the battle and Goku and Piccolo also team up in the Dead Zone movie. And Krillin knew Gohan in the Dead Zone movie, but he didn't know Gohan in DBZ episode 1.
World's Strongest: Goku knows the kaioken technique, and Piccolo is alive.
Tree of Might: It is said to be after the Vegeta saga, and same like the 2nd one above, Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha, who dies in the Vegeta saga are alive.
Lord Slug: It should be before the Frieza saga, but Goku is even stronger than Captain Ginyu, and he almost became a super saiyan. and like the 2nd and 3rd above, Piccolo is alive, whom that should have died in the Saiyan saga.
Cooler's Revenge: Goku has trouble becoming a super saiyan.
The return of Cooler: Everyone knows Vegeta could become a super saiyan for the first time. But when Vegeta also fights Android 19, everyone knows Vegeta could become a super saiyan for the first time. And Dende is the Guardian of the earth, where Gohan can't become a super saiyan.
Super Android 13: There is no timeline where Goku get's a break after his heart virus is cured. But in the movie Super Android 13, Goku get's a big break, but nothing seems to fit in with the series.
Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan: It almost fits in, except Goku and Gohan aren't permanent in their super saiyan forms. It should have occured in between the 10 days before the Cell games.
not in the series just the movies

Most of the dbz movies have no place anywhere in the series. Especially the first one.

Dbz budukai tenkaichi 3 & dbz ultimate tenkaichi
The answer to the question is very subjective, but in my opinion no, as DC comics is a very large industry with multiple comic book releases every week, and many movies,TV series while DBZ is only a single comic book line.
