For example, a cell phone includes hardware such as microchips and memory. It also includes software that allows a person to make calls, send text messages, and add entries to an address book. Other things that are likely to include hardware and software include cash registers, global positioning systems, medical equipment, Blu-ray Players, and air traffic control systems.

This is due to the fact that limits of software are usually demanded by the hardware available. If currently available hardware can only facilitate software that runs at certain speeds, for example, software that exceeds those limits will not be available.
