a sedimentary rock can change by heat and pressure to form a metamorphic rock, the metamorphic rock then can melt and later cool to form an igneous rock, the igneous rock then could be broken into fragments by weathering and erode away

There are essentially three stages in rock formation. Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. Sedimentary eventually becomes metamorphic when it reaches a point, where over millions of years it has "metamorphosed" enough due to tons of pressure and extreme heat beneath the earth's surface. You may sometimes have trouble distinguishing between the two if the rock is not still sedimentary and not quite metamorphic.

How are metamorphic rocks igneous rock and sedimentary rocks different?

Metamorphic rocks originate as igneous and sedimentary rocks, but have been changed by heat and pressure.

Are sedimentary rocks similar to metamorphic rocks?

Sedimentary rocks are ones formed by solidified mud and loose earth. Metamorphic rocks are ones formed by some sort of change, such as melting and re-cooling. So they are similar in some senses (they are both rocks, both of the earth) but in others they are very different (physical properties).
