What do you think causes the difference in the hotness or coldness of the water?

according to me the hotness or coldness trapped by water is due to his poor conducting nature of trapping or losing heat as water is a poor conductor of heat. Also when the water is cold the molecules vibrate at less speed but when the water is hot the molecules vibrate at more speed than cold water.these are the main differences that cause difference in hotness or coldness of water . Explain Why water can evaporate from puddles even on cold days?

Because as the water molecules get heated by the sun they start to move faster and faster until they escape from the liquid and become a gas (water vapour). On a cold day or a dau without sun, this process is slower becasue the molecules move slower and find it more difficult to escape from the liquid.

Can sugar dissolve in cold water?

yes because yuo will need but doo dooo

Do Jelly babies dissolve in cold or warm water faster?

warm water because at a higher temperature the water molecules have more energy and can move faster therefore they are able to break down the molecules in the jelly babies quicker than in cold water

Why does cold water have more molecules than hot water?

You may want to frame this question in this manner, "Why does cubic unit of cold water have more molecules than same cubic unit of hot water" This is so because heat causes movement in molecules and malkes them move apart. Hence the hotter the water, the further apart the molecules. Therefore, cold water has more molecules than hot water of same unit.

Why is water still cold when you pour hot water to the cold water?

when the molecules of the A-b powered atoms combine with the hot water the liquid becomes one atomic atom which then represents the liquid which makes the water stay at its cold temperature which it will stay at until the molecules are solidified by the surrounding temperature.

Why does salt take longer to melt in cold water?

because cold water molecules move slower at colder temperature.

Is there more water molecules in thermal energy when its hot or cold?

The number of water molecules is not dependent on temperature.

Why are water molecules more likely to escape from hot water then cold?

Hot water means the water molecules has attained energy from the temperature applied and hence their kinetic energy increases. Thus movement is possible for water molecules in hot water than cold water.

Why does cold water evaporate slower than hot water?

The kinetic energy of water molecules is lower at a low temperature.

Why does warm water absorb more carbon than cold water?

Solubility of gases decreases with water temperature because the water molecules have less affinity for the dissolved gas molecules. So more molecules will leave the water than are entering it.Conversely, solution of solids in liquids increases with temperature.

What motion do molecules move when in cold water?

does molecules move in cold water

Are molecules in hot water different then molecules in cold water?

If you have the same volume of both then there are in cold water more molecules.

What happens when warm water becomes cold?

The temperature will not be exactly half way between the two temperatures, but rather closer to the cold water's temperature.

How does the temperature of the ocean water affect oxygen levels in water?

Cold water is denser than warm water. Cold water sinks the bottom of the ocean taking many of the oxygen molecules with it. In the same sense warm water keeps water molecules spread throughout it self.

Why is the temperature of the boiling water higher than the temperature of an ordinary top water?

When you boil water, the velocity of moving molecules in water gets increased so as the intermolecular energy of water. For that the temperature of hot water is higher then normal or cold water.
