The current PS3 hard drive sizes are 120GB and 250GB. Past models have included 20, 40, 60, 80, and 160 GB hard drives.
Yes besides the known different models based on Harddrive there are often two or three different models for each harddrive size. The PS3 was released as a Slim model in September 2009 and has had 8 different Slim PS3 models for the 4 different Harddrive sizes. 2 each for the 120 GB and 250 GB Harddrive sizes and then the 160 GB and 320 GB harddrives have also had 2 Models each harddrive size with the latest release in August 2011. See related link
The PS3 320 GB model is just a different size of harddrive from the 160GB model and does not have different features that allow or prevent pirated games
There is no simple answer to that. It depends on the sizes of the files, as they can be different sizes.
The smallest production size was 20 GB released in November 2006 with the 60GB model, later a 40 GB and then an 80 GB models were released. The last fat PS3 with a different hard drive size released was a special edition PS3 160 GB model and the first slim PS3 models were 120 GB and 250 GB. The current production is only for the 160 GB and 320 GB PS3 slim models
The PS3 slim has a 120 GB and a 250 GB model and are the only PS3 models now being produced
NO it is not. The only PS3 80 GB model that was backward compatible was CECHE. It was the last PS3 model that was backward compatible. Even the PS3 40 GB models CECHG and CHECHH were not backward compatible. The related link for Playstation support provides details on the different models
ps3 80 gb.
There is not 360 GB PS3 and the 320 GB PS3 does not play PS2 games
Yes you can buy gigabyte for the new 250gb PS3!!!
All GB PS3 play all PS3 games. The new PS3 move will require older PS3 to get the latest updates as will the 3D games
You can have different harddrive put into the PS3, but game sizes are not standard or even close to being equal in size. 30 games can take up the same space as 2 if you are talking about full downloads with the DLCs and I mean PS3 games. In my 320 GB I have 55 PS3 games and the sizes of the games vary greatly. Then the 18 PS1 games are much smaller. Some of the dozen mini games are only 1/8 to 1/4 of a GB. You can see the download size at the Playstation Store and if you are not talking about downloading the games and add ons the harddrive is not holding the game only some game information and the rest remains on the game disc.
A 160 GB PS3 cost
