There are 4 time zones in the continental US. Alaska and Hawaii each have their own time zone.
The Mountain time zone is between the Pacific and the Central time zones.
There are four/six different time zones. There is the Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones and Hawaii and Alaska each have their own time zone. Parts of Alaska, the Aleutian Islands, do use the Hawaii Time Zone.

EXAMPLE: "What is the time difference between Eastern time to Hawaii-Aleutian time?"
