Other than the huge seasonal variability in temperatures ... the fact that Greenland is a long way from anywhere and that nobody lives there (the town I was born in was a rural farming community, and it had about 1/4 the population of the capital of Greenland; the city I live in now has three times the population of the entire nation of Greenland, and it's just one of many suburban communities in the county).
