Billboard messages are designed to be seen primarily by people traveling past the billboard location in their cars, and the impact of the billboard message depends on: 1- the amount of traffic that passes the billboard 2- the driving conditions at the time cars pass the billboard. If, for example, the weather is bad, or traffic is congested the driver's focus will be on driving-conditions that prevent him from gazing anywhere other than the road in front of him. 3- Consider how quickly the billboard passes your line of vision when driving. You have about5 to 10 seconds to take it in before you have passed it. The message has to be short and sweet. There is no room for detail, phone numbers or addresses that the viewer may not be able to remember or have time or oportunity to write down. 4-the most effective billboards are ones with a big arrow saying "here" or "turn here" for the business location.
