first of all metro is very expensive.

the tax rate would increase if metro comes in kochi.

people say tat metro will reduce the traffic jams but i suggest flyovers instead of metro rail.if there are about 10 flyovers it might cost around 300 crores but a metro rail would cost 5,000 crores. it cannot be afforded by all people. to reach near a metro station itself we would have to travel using taxi,auto rickshaw,bus and all and so some money would be spent like tat and then for the metro a certain amount so i say metro is not needed for kochi as the state is small compared to delhi,chennai and all which have metro

I donot see any major disadvantage in the METRO in Bangalore as such, except being speculative of the fact that hope fully I assume it is planned properly.

And it does not hurt the ex chequer any more. The Govt of Karnataka has been now for a decade collecting cess on the fuel in order to gather fund for development work of Bangalore Metro.

Also I hope, The METRO covers areas which really require it instead of being re-routed to areas to profit an individual

Last but not the least, the ticket prices should be in range for a common person

I find it very difficult to find drawbacks in the subway, you need is to improve care at the time of shipment, with more empty wagons so we can use the metro more comfortably.

Its main disadvantage are the accidents which are held minimum once in two months .
