If you take vicodin on an empty stomach, it'll hit you harder and faster than if you took it on a fuller stomach or while eating. But, if you take it on an empty stomach the chance of it making you nauseous are much higher. Hope this helps :)

I have taken them together and survived. 20 mg Lexapro with 5 mg Vicodin and 3 pints of beer. My doctor said the Lexapro and Vicodin are ok together as long as it is supervised and within the recommended dosage. The beer, probably not ok.
