major massive destructions
There is no relationship whatsoever between Earth's moon and any comet.
Halley's comet is tiny compared to the moon. The irregularly shaped comet is about about 5 by 10 miles wide while the moon's diameter is over 2000 miles.
A comet is a small solar system body that orbits the Sun. When close enough to the Sun, a comet exhibits a visible coma (fuzzy "atmosphere"), and sometimes a tail, both because of the effects of solar radiation upon the comet's nucleus . Comet nuclei are themselves loose collections of ice, dust and small rocky particles, ranging from a few kilometers to tens of kilometers across. So no Mars doesn't have a comet it does have a moon tho.
Some meteor showers are caused by Earth passing through the remnants of an old comet or parts of the trail of debris left by comets. The Leonid meteor shower is caused by Earth passing through the trail of comet Temple-Tuttle.
Sitem, is the name of another moon for Neptune and it is derived from this, the meaning is 'meteor-like', because the moon itself looks like a meteor. Hope I helped :)
Planet, planetoid, moon, asteroid, meteor, comet
yes. The craters you see with the naked eye looking at the moon are from meteors striking the moon. meteorites are what is left of a meteor that has already struck a large body (such as a planet or moon)
No, but it does have deep/large creators. Valleys are created by glaciers and a geologically active crust, neither of which the Moon has. Creators from meteor and comet impacts make up the majority of the Moon's surface features.
it depends on the size of the meteor, usually the moon is bigger

No, Halley's comet is smaller than the Moon
No.

Yes.The moon actually does have craters left by meteor crashes.

Comet
The lack of atmosphere means there is no wind, or rain, etc. to either erode or wash away the footprints. The only way for the footprints to be disturbed would be from an impact event, such as a meteor striking the moon's surface near the prints and disturbing the surface.
