You can turbocharge any engine just as long as the internals can handle it, the higher the boost, the stronger the engine needed to be. I'm not sure up to what psi can the stock internals handle (better leave this to the 4g92 pros). If you have an old engine, you may consider switching to a 4g63T from the evos.

The spark plug gap for a 1996 Mitsubishi Lancer MR 1600 mivec should be set between 1.0 and 1.1 mm. A new spark plug will not need to be gapped as they are gapped at the factory.
