Distance Learning is the alternative to Campus Study. While in Campus , people sit and attend lectures from a Professor and learn through discussions, in distance Learning, people learn through a medium while not being present at the same place.

Distance Learning has evolved from Bookish study to Online Study these Days. They have even managed to create Discussions Online so that it is as much as close to Campus study as possible. These days they also provide Accredited Universities Degrees online with 24*7 online tutor support so that people around the World can study the courses according to their preferable timings. These courses are mainly targeted towards working professionals, single parents or those who would like to upgrade their academic qualifications without leaving their job.

Distance learning is a mode of catering courses and guidance, sometimes on an individual basis, to those who are not in attendance physically in a conventional setting like classroom. Distance learning offers access to studying when the information source and the students are detached by distance and time, or both of these. Distance education requires a physical on-site attendance for any cause like appearing an examination referred to as blended learning.
