The first thing you should do is go to your doctor or local physician, so they can determine exactly what you have. Don't ever make up your own "healing methods", just go see someone reliable who can truly determine what the infection might be. If you can't do this, I would suggest getting in touch with your piercer. If they are as reliable as a reputable piercer would be, they would be glad to help you and willing to check it out for you and offer something that would be able to help it.
To take care of an infected piercing, you will need to clean the area with salt water. After it is cleaned, apply an antibiotic or antiseptic cream on the piercing site.

Usually, there is a little white goop coming out, but that's normal. If the stuff coming out turns darker, or has a greenish-yellow-ish, or even brown tint to it, it's probably infected. If there's a lot of bleeding, and it's very sensitive even after 3 or so weeks after the initial piercing, I would go back and check with your piercer.

There are three stages for belly button piercing heeling:

1. Inflammatory Stage: Where you need to keep the area clean to speed up the process. In this stage, the piercing is an open wound that is red, tender and itchy.

2. Proliferative Stage: Here the scab that had formed earlier will fall, allowing the new skin to form. The skin will now start to get tender and thicker.

3. Maturation Stage: This is the final stage, where it starts to look like normal skin.

Can you still keep your navel piercing ring in even if its infected and its bein treated?

Well the jewellery should still be in the piercing, you never remove jewellery from an infected piercing unless it's the jewellery that caused the issue in the first place. Make sure you have the original jewellery in the piercing and leave it in until your situation has improved.
