There ARE actually! Scientists are currently studying them and are observing that they don't follow several of the characteristics of life. They are not bacteria and are different from any other kingdom. It is being debated and disscussed and the scientists may decide to establish a new, sixth kingdom.
I looked into this topic and as far as I can tell on the rare occasion that an organism doesn't fit into a kingdom they create a new one. However there are so many kingdoms that it is very unlikely that an organism won't fit into one.
Our genes decide what characteristics we inherit, but the environment can affect how these inherited characteristics develop, like a person could be tall but in their childhood have a poor diet which cause poor growth.
