1. Solid-- have a definite shape, molecules are packed very tightly together and do no move, solids are also usually much more dense, when a solid is melted it becomes a liquid.
2. Liquid-- A liquid does not have a fixed shape, like a solid; instead it takes on the shape of the container that it is in. Liquids can flow. when a liquid boils it turns into a gas.
3. Gas-- A gas usually has much lower density than a solid or liquid. A quantity of gas doesn't have a specific shape; in this way it is like a liquid and different from a solid. If a gas is enclosed in a container, it will take on the shape of the container
4. Plasma-- Most of the matter in the universe is found in the plasma state. That is because stars contain so much of the matter in the universe. when electrons are no longer trapped in orbits around the nucleus, we have the plasma state. This is when a gas becomes a bunch of electrons which have escaped the pull of the nucleus and ions which are positively charged because they have lost one or more electrons.
It is the molecular structure. Solid is has fixed molecules, liquid has molecules that move freely, gas has ones that move around largely, and plasma has ions that move in large circles. Also, when moving to the solid side, the temperature is cooler, and hotter as it goes to plasma.
because plasma is an ionized gas so its different
The fourth state of matter is in ionic state where as the three states namely solid, liquid and gas are in neutral state.
because they are the four forms or states that matter can be in
The state of matter of a liquid is - well - a liquid. The four states of matter are solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
No bacteria are living organisms. The four states of matter are: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
Electricity is not a state of matter. The four states of matter are solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
In physics, a state of matter is one of the distinct forms that matter takes on. Four states of matter are observable in everyday life: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
The four states of matter are related by energy concentration.
That depends how you choose to classify the "first four" kinds of matter. If you mean states of matter, also known as phases of matter, you can check the corresponding Wikipedia article - there you will see descriptions, not of three or four, but of at least 15 different states of matter.
Matter does come in four states. The states are plasma, gas, liquid, and solid.
Well the four states of matter are: Liquid, Solid, Gas and Plasma (the first 3 states are the main ones) and they all occupy space, they can all have colours and obviously they're all matter, in different forms.
The four states of matter have traditionally been gas, liquid, solid, and plasma.
state two examples for each of the four states of matter
Energy is responsible for different states of matter!
It depends, my understanding is that generally the arrangement of the atoms and their interactions with one another as well as the energy levels of those atoms is what distinguishes the different states of matter from one another.
There are only three states of matter. They are solid, liquid and gas.
because they are the four forms or states that matter can be in
sound is mainly caused by vibrating particles and matter consists of matter and the 3 states of matter are solids liqiuids and gasses and due to the way particles are spaced in the different states of matter we will have sounds travelling at different speeds as it crosses the different states of matter.
it depends on how much things matter to you
