It's difficult to say 4, as there's actually only one, to classify animals with similar nicknames or non-scientific names together. To be honest, there's not really any other reasons to use them that I'm aware of, despite my researching it before answering this and coming up with absolutely nothing. Unless it's made to elaborate on classification in the name, but I doubt that would be the case, so heavily in fact that I did not list it as a reason.
