I ask myself, "Can everyone eat this?" You don't want to cook an entire meal and then have something in it that someone's allergic to. For me, I have to be careful with onions. I LOVE onions and so does my mother but my brother can't eat them because they make him sick to his stomach. I say just make sure that you are meeting everyone's needs in the meal. Especially if you're entertaining at a party or something. You don't want anyone getting sick.
