Two major mysteries of the ancient Egyptians come to mind. Both have puzzled scientists throughout the ages. The first mystery was how the pyramids that were built were done so "perfectly" and the engineering techniques used for placement of large granite stones were so precise. The blocks of stone were so evenly stacked upon each other without the engineering skills that became known centuries later. Attempts to imitate their construction as I have seen in Documentary Films do not provide the answers. The other mystery that comes to mind are the embalming techniques used to have the mummies of Egyptian royalty remain as intact as they are thousands of years later.
