dear friend, literally there is no difference between bhagwad gita and shrimad bhagwad gita. actually your right question seems to be, what is the difference between shrimad bhaadwad puran and shrimad bhagwad gita. shrimad bhaagwad puran is a written document of doings of various supposed GODS while shrimad bhagwad gita is also a written document of sayings of ultimate LORD KRISHANA for the shake of human beings. human beings can attain their supreme goal of being human.

WholeBhagwat Gita it self is the most important for all human beings. Don't try to find the most important chapter in Gita. After looking at to the most important chapter in Gita, you will try to find the most important sloka in that chapter it is not important that what is important in Bhagwad Gita, it is important that how one can implement it in life. One should always read the Gita at-least ones in his life so please read it and follow it without using your brain in important and unimportant, good or bad part of it. God bless you........ -regards Paras Desai

Bhagwad Gita is not important for only Hindus but it is important for all human beings. Though many Hindus are following and respecting Gita but it is not written only for Hindus Even in whole Gita "Hindu" word is not written anywhere. When the Bhagwad Gita was written, the Hinduism and other different religious were not in society. During those days, varna system was followed and it is also clearly written in Bhagwad Gita in its Chapter-3.
