Is it ok to eat dog food if you are poor?

All dogs can eat a whole bunch of food us humans cant, like raw meat, and certain kibble ingredients. I read my dogs kibble ingredents and has certain ingredients that will upset the stomach, Ingredients dogs can only eat: Chicken by product meal Preserved animal fat Tapioca starch Gelatin (Jewish can't eat this) Hydrgenated glucose Copper sulfate Not just the ingredients but there is also more protein than we need, like crude protien, and crude fat, and vitemins and minerals for dogs only. So if I were poor, I wouldn't buy dog food (and its more money than normal food)

What kind of dog food should you be feeding a Boston Terrior?

Regular dog kibble should be fine. Mostly all dog food brands have different kibble for toy dogs, small dogs, medium-large dogs, etc. Some dog food brands such as Science Diet have different kibble for different breeds, but I doubt that will be necessary.

How is cat food made?

Depends on the food. Dry Food: First, the dry ingredients are mixed and ground down together to make a course flour. Then the dry ingredients are mixed with the wet ingredients which includes animal fat, meat, water and pressurized steam. The hot water and steam begins the cooking process and the fats help the mixture to become a dough. The dough is fed through a machine called an Extruder. The dough is fed through small tubes (that are also pressurized and heated so the ingredients cook further) and the dough is fed out the other end and cut into kibble pieces. Next the kibble is thrown into "dyers" where the kibble is dried and becomes hardened. Synthetically-formulated nutrients are now sprayed on (the extreme cooking temperature kill all naturally occurring nutrients), along with flavour enhancers in the form of liquids or powders. The kibble is then dried again and then put into bags to be shipped off to distributors. Wet Food: Fresh meat is shipped to pet food manufacturers, and all the ingredients are mixed and coursely ground for the desired texture. The meat is then cooked. When the food is in the cans, the cans are sterilised by passing them through a heating chamber. The cans are heated to about 250°F (121°C) for 80 minutes (human food such as baked beans are also cooked and sterilised in the same manner). Finally the cans are cooled, dried, labelled and shipped off.

How many cups of kibble are in a pound?

This will depend on the kibble since they all have a different density. Best to find a scale and weigh it, particularly if you need the weight measurements for calculating nutritional quantities.

How do you draw conclusions?

Drawing conclusions is an iterative procedure (you do it over and over until the answers are consistent and match with he facts you are presented with.Simple ExampleYou observe something ( Your puppy's kibble dish is empty)You ask yourself if you have seen this before and reached a satisfactory conclusion. If yes you use that conclusion and fill the dish because the puppy had eaten all the kibble. If no (it's a new puppy and it is the first time you've seen his dish empty) you ask yourself questionsQuestion: Did the food spill on the floor? Ans. No, there is no food on the floorQuestion: Could someone have stolen the food? Ans. Not likely, the food is not worth taking.Question: Could something have eaten the food? Ans: Yes that is logical , it is food and food is eaten.Question: What animal could have eaten the food? Ans: You run through all animals that could have eaten the food - lions, bears, goldfish etc. - returning to this question as you eliminate unlikely suspects until you arrive at "The puppy ate the food"This is your conclusion. You next do the same process for the question "So what should I do abut it?" You is probable that you will come the the next conclusion (Refill the kibble dish.) This is essentially the "Scientific process" and will work for all manner of problems.

Are all ingredients used in food considered food?

Not all ingredients used in food would be considered food, but have some kind of function in that food. Additives - like preservatives, leavenings and colors - would not be food. Some are. Some you really wouldn't want to eat by themselves.Yes. Yes they are.

IS FOODS INGREDIENTS?

yeah like apples An ingredient can be anything in a prepared item's contents. Not all are food items, for example, preservatives, thickening agents, colorings, etc. are all "ingredients" in food that are not actually food. Non food items like toothpaste etc. also have ingredients, the bulk of which/none of which are not food.

Is there a way to tell if food is dyed?

All manufactured foods in the US are required to list their ingredients. If a food is dyed, it will contain ingredients like "caramel color" or "blue lake". Anything with ingredients "color" or "lake" is dyed.
