You shouldn't need any tools to add RAM to the motherboard of your computer - other than the screwdriver needed to open the case to gain access to the motherboard. If you're replacing a stick of RAM that's already in place, there will probably be a snap on either side that will need to be gently pushed down/away from the stick until it clicks - releasing it.
