Using the stock jack that came with the car: 4 main points, just behind the front wheels, and just in front of the rear wheels. Look under the doors, you will see the body panels folded. The jack has a groove in it. Slide it under the car and raise it up until the jack slips over the body crease under the car. You owners manual will also have instructions. Sometimes you can find these online. Use a search engine. 1997 cavalier owner's manual. Do not try to lift the car with the stock jack under a door or flat part of the body or underneath the flat parts of the underside of the car. You will crush or punch a hole into your vehicle.
