The Greatest Commandment 34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." The second greatest Command given by Christ to all disciples is to love your neighbor as yourself - where a neighbor is all others:

Galatians 5:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

*Christians believe all men and all women are equal (immortal declaration in the US Declaration of Independence) under God, endowed with inalienable rights from Him.

*God's Law is supreme and guides all mankind to righteousness.

*We are made in the image and likeness of God with the potential of becoming His spiritual sons and daughters for all eternity:

2 Corinthians 6:18

New International Version (NIV)

18 And,

"I will be a Father to you,

and you will be my sons and daughters,

says the Lord Almighty."

* We treat others as Jesus has shown us with His example (see John 13:15).

* We are the managers of the Earth and all its resources (see Genesis:1-3).

*No Christian can fully achieve these standards without God's Holy Spirit within them, making them new 'beings' who are 'begotten' to be led by God.

There are other 'points' to highlight but that is not necessary. Simply put, Christians are to 'imitate' (meaning of disciple) Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Christians are to be in this world but not of it. Christians are examples of the Way of God as Christ was and we are to be cautious not to fall back into the ways of this world:

Revelation 18:4

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
