There is a total of fifteen kill streak rewards for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Below is a list of the kill streak rewards and a detail description of each one.

The player can only use three kill streak rewards in one game. For example, the player may choose to have UAV, Predator Missile and Emergency Air Drop as their kill streak rewards, but cannot use the other rewards in-game without first changing there kill streak rewards between games.

Note: All kill streaks require one less kill to activate if the player is using the Hardline perk.

An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) after threeconsecutive kills

Description: Activating this kill steak reward will give the player and their team an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that will spot enemies for the player and their team for a short period of time; approximately thirty seconds. Enemy players will show up on the player's team's mini-map as small red dots. The UAV cannot see players using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk. Multiple UAVs can be active at once; there is no need to wait for one to leave the map before activating your own. UAVs are visible in the sky from the ground and can be shot down by missiles or gun fire, excluding shotguns. The UAV will cast a shadow of itself on the ground if correctly lined up with the Sun and the ground.

A Care Package or Counter-UAV after fourconsecutive kills

Description: Activating the Care Package kill streak reward will give the player a smoke grenade which the player can throw onto the ground, this will release coloured smoke and call in a MH-6 Little Bird which will drop a create containing a random kill streak reward (Excluding another Care Package, Emergency Air Drop or Tactical Nuke) or ammo. It takes the player two point five seconds to capture the package for their own use and five seconds for other players to capture (including enemy players).

Note: Players can be crushed by the care package, so watch out! There is a challenge that requires the player to get a game winning kill by crushing an enemy player with their Care Package.

Note: It is possible that the Care Package will become stuck on a roof, overhead highway or other structure or even outside the map is the player is not careful when throwing the smoke grenade. This is common on maps such as Terminal and Underpass.

Description: Activating the Counter-UVA kill streak reward will jam the enemy team's radar (Mini-map) for thirty seconds. During this time friendly players can fire unsuppressed weapons without appearing on the enemy team's radar, as it will be filled with static. After thirty seconds the enemy team's radar will return to normal.

A Sentry Gun or Predator Missile after fiveconsecutive kills

Description: Activating the Sentry Gun kill streak reward will give the player a smoke grenade which they can throw onto the ground to call in a MH-6 Little Bird which will drop a crate containing the gun, similar to Care Packages. The sentry gun will automatically target enemies within its line of sight. The sentry gun can be destroyed with conventional weapons and will be temperately disabled by flashbang and stun grenades, using the knife on the Sentry Gun will destroy it in one blow. The sentry gun does not target enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk. The Sentry Gun will last for ninety seconds before destroying itself.

Note: The sentry gun is static (cannot move); the player must pick it up to move it. The player cannot use their weapons, grenades or equipment while moving their Sentry Gun.

Note: Just like the Care Package, players can be crushed by the care package, so watch out! There is a challenge that requires the player to get a game winning kill by crushing an enemy player with their Care Package.

Note: Also like the Care Package, it is possible that the create will become stuck on a roof, overhead highway or other structure or even outside the map is the player is not careful when throwing the smoke grenade.

Activating the Predator Missile kill streak reward will give the player a Predator missile to control. Once activated the player has five seconds to control the missile, pressing the fire button will activate the missile's afterburner speeding the missile up but making it harder to control. While using the laptop to control the missile you will be vulnerable to attack. Enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk will not be highlighted by red rectangles around them. You can destroy enemy kill streak rewards with this missile, such as the Sentry Gun, Harrier, Attack Helicopter, Pave Low, Chopper Gunner, AC-130 Gunner and UAV, however it is extreme unlike to hit and destroy the AC-130 and UAV with the missile as these aircraft fly considerably high in the air.

A Precision Airstrike after six consecutive kills

Description: Activating the Precision Airstrike kill streak reward will allow the player to call in an air strike on any location on the map in any direction they wish. When the air strike is called in it will appear on the enemy team's radar as three fighter jets bomb the target with cluster bombs. This kill streak reward cannot be destroyed.

A Harrier Strike or an Attack Helicopter after seven consecutive kills

Description: Activating the Harrier Strike kill streak reward will allow the player to call in an air strike from two harrier fighter jets and a third harrier will stay behind to target enemies with its heavy machine gun for a short period of time; under two minutes. The enemy can destroy the harrier, either from excessive weapon fire or by a direct hit from a missile or rocket-propelled grenades (RPG-7). Enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk will not be targeted by the harrier.

Activating the Attack Helicopter kill streak reward will allow the player to call in an AH-1W Super Cobra or Mi-25 Hind (helicopters vary from team to team) outfitted with a heavy machine gun. The helicopter will target enemies with its machine gun and leave after a short period of time: approximately two minutes. The helicopter can be destroyed by the enemy, either from excessive weapon fire or by direct hits from missiles or rocket-propelled grenades (RPG-7). Enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk will not be targeted by the helicopter. It is possible to destroy a helicopter by using a Predator Missile, Chopper Gunner, AC-130 or a Harrier.

An Emergency Air Drop after eight consecutive kills

Description: Activating the Emergency Air Drop kill streak reward will allow the player to throw a smoke grenade on the ground which will call in a cargo plane that will fly over the map dropping four Care Packages in a line around the area where the smoke grenade was thrown. The Emergency Airdrop is much less accurate than the Care Package airdrop because the plane is moving while it drops the packages, make sure you throw the smoke grenade in an open area so the packages do not land on a building or outside the map. The Emergency Airdrop is not affected by EMP and will continue to drop its content even when there is an active EMP.

Note: Players can be crushed by the care packages, so watch out!

A Pave Low or Stealth Bomber after nine consecutive kills

Description: Activating the Pave Low kill streak reward will allow the player to call in a heavily armed and armoured Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low helicopter outfitted with two heavy machine guns. The Pave Low is more dangerous than the Attack Helicopter because it is more powerful and more heavily armoured to resist damage. The helicopter will leave after a short period of time: approximately two minutes. The enemy can destroy the helicopter from excessive weapon fire or by several direct hits from a missile or rocket-propelled grenades (RPG-7). Enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk will not be targeted by the Pave Low.

Activating the Stealth Bomber kill streak reward will allow the player to call in a stealth air strike from a B-2 Spirit heavy bomber. The B-2 will carpet bomb the selected area of the map. The B-2 is a stealth aircraft meaning the enemy team's announcer will not alert the enemy team of the aircraft nor will it appear on their radar, making it more dangerous and powerful than other air strike.

A Chopper Gunner or AC-130 Gunner after eleven consecutive kills

Description: Activating the Chopper Gunner kill streak will allow the player to call in and control the gunner seat of an attack helicopter for a short period of time; approximately sixty seconds. The player is allowed to use the 25mm heavy machine gun on the helicopter to shoot the enemy, both personal and vehicles. Enemies will appear with red rectangles around them unless they are using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk. The enemy can shoot down the helicopter from excessive weapon fire or several direct hits from missiles or rocket-propelled grenades (RPG-7). This helicopter has one set of missile counter-measures.

Note: You are vulnerable to attack while using the laptop to control the helicopter's machine gun.

Activating the AC-130 kill streak reward will allow the player to call in and control the weapons on an AC-130 ground-attack gunship for a short period of time: approximately forty seconds. The weapons you have available to use are one 25mm Gatling gun, one 40mm Grenade Launcher and one 105mm Howitzer. There is a lag time between when you fire the weapon and when it hits the target, meaning if your target is moving, fire not where they are, but where they're going to be. The weapons require frequent reloading; otherwise this kill streak would be over powered. The enemy can shoot down an AC-130 with missiles, but the AC-130 is protected by two sets of angel flares to counter 2 missiles, it will become vulnerable once it has used all of its flares. Enemies using the "Cold-Blooded" Perk will not be highlighted by red rectangles.

Note: You are vulnerable to attack while using the laptop to control the AC-130's weapons.

An Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) after fifteenthconsecutive kills

Description: Activating the EMP kill streak reward will detonate a nuclear device high up in the Earth's atmosphere creating an electromagnetic pulse. This electromagnetic pulse will disable all of the enemy's electronic equipment; this includes currently active kill streak rewards (Except the Tactical Nuke, Emergency Airdrop and Stealth Bomber), Claymores, C4 (Remote detonator only), Heartbeat Sensor, Red Dot, Holographic, ACOG Scope and Thermal Scope sight attachments for a short period of time; approximately sixty seconds. The enemy team's vision will be slightly blurred, their entire Heads-Up Display (HUD) disappears and they will be unable to call in any new kill streak rewards while affected by the EMP. The EMP can prevent the enemy from using a Tactical Nuke.

A Tactical Nukeafter twenty-five consecutive kills.

Description: Activating the Tactical Nuke kill streak reward will call in a small tactical thermonuclear missile. The missile takes ten seconds to arrive and detonate, and when it does every player in the game will be killed instantaneously. The player who launched the nuke will receive the corresponding amount of Experience Points (XP) and their team will automatically win the game.

The highest kill streak is the Tactical Nuke which is obtained at 25 kills (24 with Hardline) that ends the game and gives you and your team and automatic victory. Even if you are losing the game.
