Laws regarding drug use by young people vary by country and jurisdiction, but generally minors are prohibited from purchasing or possessing drugs, including alcohol and tobacco, due to health and safety concerns. Penalties for underage drug use can range from fines and community service to mandatory drug education programs or even juvenile detention, depending on the severity of the offense and local laws. Parents, schools, and law enforcement typically work together to educate young people about the risks of drug use and enforce relevant laws to protect their well-being.
