Moltres (One Island), Articuno (Seafoam Islands) and Zapdos (Power Plant) are the main trio in this game, none of which are a compulsory part of the story. All are found at LV 50

Mewtwo (Cerulean Cave) Found at level 70, only available after the Pokemon league.

Nintendo Events allow these extras to be unlocked

Mew All i know is its LV 30 and you need the old sea chart to find it

Deoxys: I forgot how to get this one too

Jirachi

Ho-oh and Lugia: Found on the same island

and there is a few more but you can only get one ( you can get all by trading ) if you start with bulbausaur you get ENTETI. if you start with squirtle you get RAIKIOU. if you start with charmender you get SUICUNE
