It is where DNA does its work: Sequences of DNA are transcribed (copied) into fragments of messenger RNA (mRNA), which are then sent to the ribosomes to control the manufacture of proteins during cell growth and reproduction. So the function of the nucleus is to send out copies of the blueprints for building proteins, which in turn control every aspect of cellular activity. The nucleus controls all cell activity. The nucleolus present in it synthesizes RNA and ribosomal protiens.
1.control activities of the cell

2.produce ribosomes

3.store DNA

The job of the nucleus is it just controls everything in the cell. Just like my teacher told me that the cell is a factory and in the factory the nucleus is the manager of the factory. That is what it does.

Why are Eukaryotic cells are larger than prokaryotic cells?

Eukaryotic cells are typically larger than prokaryotic cells because they are more complex. They have an enclosed nucleus and more jobs to fulfill.

True or false the nucleus is the control center for the cell and is made of protoplasm?

Not exactly. The cell has a large number of mitochondria and other units operating independent of the nucleus. They do their jobs based on feedback mechanisms. The most important part of the nucleus is DNA. The DNA provides templates for building proteins, but these templates are combined outside of the nucleus and no one knows how. So the more we know, the less we understand.

What is the nucleus job in a cell?

The nucleus controls most cell process and contains the hereditary information of DNA.

Parts of an animal cell, which are also known as organelles are told their job by the nucleus. They then carry out these jobs with the help of the other organelles.
