Highway 42 between Camas Valley and Remote has had many accidents and fatalities. Especially when it's wet or snow. The road surface has a slick sealer coat and shines like glass, which makes it very dangerous. Take it real easy thru this part of the road.

Wayne, Camas Valley

Interstate 5 in the Terwilliger Curves (about five minutes south of downtown Portland) and just north and south of Wilsonville on Interstate 5 is known for having a lot of accidents. Terwilliger Curves because drivers take the curves too fast and end up crashing. Just north and south of Wilsonville because heading north on Interstate 5 just north of the state capital of Salem, Interstate 5 is pretty much a straight road until you get close to Portland. After you have been driving north on Interstate 5 with hardly any traffic, when you get just south of Wilsonville, traffic heading towards Portland starts to get heavy for whatever reason and some drivers think they can just keep going the same speed they were going as if there is no traffic at all and end up crashing. Same for the drivers heading south from Portland on Interstate 5, when the drivers get just north of Wilsonville, they think they can keep going the same speed as if there is no traffic and end up crashing.
