Tuscany is probably the most famous with Chiante and Brunello wines. The Piedmont is also pretty famous with Barolo being one of its best wines. But Italy grows wine in every corner, most of it pretty decent, too.
I am Portuguese and in Portugal I see a lot of foreigners eating codfish. It is really good (in my opinion). But there is no "most famous" food here in Portugal. Hope this helps.

I would say the most famous poet in Germany is Johann Wolfgang Goethe, followed by Friedrich Schiller
