A 'line' can be drawn on a map or globe at any longitude or any latitude.

There is no standard set of 'lines'.

To me, I'd say the most important ones are the parallel of 42.0363° north latitude

and the meridian of 87.7208° west longitude, since those are the ones that bring

me [close to] home at night.

What map has parallel lines of latitude and longitude?

A map with parallel lines of latitude and longitude is known as a Mercator projection map. However, the Mercator projection distorts the size of landmasses, especially near the poles.

What is the difference between lines of longitude and lines of latitude?

Firstly, different maps or atlases draw lines of latitude and longitude in varying degrees apart. Although most maps have differences of 10 degrees apart, atlases can be as close as 1 or 2 degrees. Secondly, you might be referring to the major lines of latitude and longitude, such as the Equator and the Prime Meridian. Some maps that are very small only show the major lines of latitude and longitude. The difference between the equator and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn is 23.5 degrees, while the difference between the equator and the Arctic and Antarctic Circles is 66.5 degrees. The difference between the Prime Meridian and the International Date Line is 180 degrees.

What is the longitude and latitude position of antarctica?

The South Pole is at 90 degrees S latitude. The North Pole is at 90 degrees N latitude. All lines of longitude converge at both poles. The Antarctic Circle is at 66 degrees 32 minutes S latitude. Most of the land mass of Antarctica is within the Antarctic Circle.

How you can find a latitude and longitude of a country?

it is easy if you can find a globe or a map of that country that numbers & shows the parallels of latitude as horizontal lines & the meridians of longitude as vertical lines most tho not all maps & globes do this so keep looking for one that does alternatively encyclopedia articles about countries usually give this information too but you may also need to read an article about how to understand & read latitude & longitude if these methods dont immediately work for you
