There are lots of answers to that, as people eat different things. Common things that could be used for different meals would be meat such as beef, pork or lamb and vegetables like potatoes, carrots, cabbage etc. Chicken and turkey would be common and people also eat a lot of fish.
Well, the Irish equivalent of an "English Breakfast" would be an Ulster Fry. Typically this would be sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, black pudding, toast or bread and a pot of tea.
