If you are asking about air rifles it was made by Crosman Air guns.
They are made of both metal and plastic
JC Higgins never made guns. All of Sears (JCH) guns were made by established gun makers but used the name JC Higgins to sell the guns and rifles through Sears stores. Even the BB guns were made by Daisy air gun and Crosman air gun. They put the name JC Higgins on the guns when they were shipped to Sears.
Air Guns that are made in Shanghai are produced under different names. I own two that carry the name "Industry" on them. Many are referred to as the Chinese models like the B1-1, B2-2, B3-3. These rifles are usually cheap and the quality is a lot less than the better known names like RWS, Crosman and Gamo. Even American Manufactures have some of their guns made in China. I suggest that you look at the specks or box that the gun comes in to see where it was made. I'm not saying that all Chinese guns are bad some are very good. But if you purchase a cheap air gun, well that's what you get
It's hard to say. China produces air guns under different names. But is could be made by (Industry brand) or (BAM) Best Airgun Manufacture.
Air guns and air rifles come in many sizes. BB guns are .177. Pellet guns & rifles are made in .177, .20, .22, .25, 9MM, 357 Cal, 45 Cal and 50 Caliber. The last four sizes are usually restricted to the PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) class of air guns. (Big Boar)
Crosman air guns made most all of Montgomery Wards Hawthorn brand BB guns.
Precharged Pneumatic Guns (PCPs) are the most powerful Air Guns made. They use a scuba tank to charge them.
Both air cooled and water cooled machine guns have been made.
Not many tools of any kind are made in the US any more. There are a few air nail guns that are still manufactured in the US, including the Paslode Powermaster Plus and a few Fasco models.
