According to Bundy himself, Joni Lenz was his first victim. Lenz was sleeping in her basement apartment in Tacoma, WA, on January 4, 1974 when she was bludgened and raped by Bundy. She is excluded from most Bundy victim lists for the simple fact that he failed to kill her, not from lack of trying, though. As is often the case with head injuries, Lenz could not remember fully the attack nor could she identify her attacker.
But for many people, Bundy's first victim was Ann Marie Burr. Ann Marie disappeared from her home on August 8, 1961. Eight years old at the time of her disappearence, has never been found, the case is still open. The Burr's home, located on 14th St. was passed each morning by an industrious 14 year old paperboy named Ted Bundy. Questioned by police at the time, they may have been suspiscious of young Bundy, but no real physical evidence could prove it one way or another.
If Bundy did abduct and kill Ann Marie, she would not be the only victim that Bundy refused to admit to. There are many deaths and missing girls that police felt Bundy was responsible for, yet as the hours counted down to his execution, he refused to give up any more names. Hinting to detectives that the body count could be as high as 100 or more.
Her mother was an unwed Mother when Ted came to live. Ted's biological father, who was an Air Force veteran, was unknown to his son throughout his life. His mother and his step father added the Bundy family added four other siblings. Those names are unknown for security reasons.

Of all Bundy's murders, it was his last killing that cost him his life. Bundy was executed in Florida's electric chair in January 1989 for the murder of 12 year old Kimberly Leach. To save taxpayer money Bundy was never tried for the murders he committed in the Pacific Northwest and in several other states.
The plaintiffs were the people of the state of Florida. That's where the DA comes into it.
Ted Bundy usually strangled his victim then raped the body. He would also beat them to death and some victims had sharp cut in them. His teeth proved to be the best evidence in the Bundy's case as he bit his victims.
With few exceptions, Bundy did not live close to his victims. Much of his hunting took place on college campuses.
He was sexually attracted to girls of that age.
Bundy was into power and control. Even with his death only hours away he just had to keep something back. It was his way of getting the last word.
Serial killer Ted Bundy does/did have a daughter with his wife Carole. After Bundy's execution in January of 1989 Carole changed their names and moved away, destination unknown.
