Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Top, Bottom
If you don't know what a Quark is it don't matter you still got 'em.
And with Leptons and Bosons, unless somethings amiss.
They make up everything we can see and that we know exist.
-Strange Charm by Hank Green
(Side note: there are things that exists that don't have quarks, but those are particles we don't generally deal with, except for electrons, which are not made of quarks..)
They are known as flavors, but the 6 types are Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Top, Bottom
There are six different types of quarks, known as flavors: up, down, charm, strange, top, and bottom.
The six flavors are: up, down, strange, charm, bottom (beauty), and top (truth)
there are actually six. up, down, top, bottom, charm, strange.
up, down, top bottom, charm and strange.
up, down, charm, strange, top and bottom
There are 6 different types of quarks, named in pairs:Top, BottomStrange, CharmUp, Down0123qwerty0123But don't forget that all particles, besides force particles ( gravity-graviton, electromagnetism-photon, weak force-low guage boson, strong force-gluon ), have antimatter counterparts.Anti-top, Anti-bottomAnti-strange, Anti-charmAnti-up, Anti-down
Different quarks last different amounts of time, but all of the six quarks can only last on their own for small fractions of a second.
There are six types of quarks, with three "color charges" each. There are the up, the down, the charm, the strange, the top, and the bottom quarks, each with a "red" charge, a "blue" charge, or a "green" charge. If you want to count antimatter, then there are six antiquarks, each with "anticolor charges." The anticolors are Antigreen, antired, and antiblue. These are each represented by cyan, yellow, and magenta. So, counting antimatter and color charge, there are 36 quarks.
There are 3 generations of quarks; each generation having 2 different quarks within it. Thus, there are 3 X 2 = 6 types of quarks. Their names are up, down, strange, charm, top, and bottom. Each of these 6 quarks has a unique antiparticle associated with it. Thus, there are in fact 6 X 2 = 12 different quarks in total.
there are six;up, down, clean, negative, positive, and strong(don't ask me who named them)
There are six quarks, the up, down, charm, strange, top, and bottom quarks.
Six quarks: Up and down ; Charm and Strange; Top and Bottom.
There are six quarks, but physicists usually talk about them in terms of three pairs: up/down, charm/strange, and top/bottom.
Six quarks: Up and down ; Charm and Strange; Top and Bottom.
Six quarks: Up and down ; Charm and Strange; Top and Bottom.
In an atom, the neutrons and protons are made up of up quarks and down quarks. Strange quarks, charms quarks, top quarks, and bottom quarks also exist, but do not play as much of a role in the structure of an atom.
