The three kingdoms were the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom.
The three kingdoms of Egypt did differ since they existed in different time period. They also differed as in the different regions in which they were located.
In ancient times their were numerous kingdoms in Africa. Currently there are a few countries that have hereditary kings such as Swaziland and Lesotho; these countries also have a nominated governments so the titles are pretty much non-executive.
The three early river civilizations are the Incas. Aztecs and Mayas
The three kingdoms in Korea were named Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla.
The three kingdoms of Egypt are the Old Kingdom(the very beginning), the Middle Kingdom(the height of Egypt's power), and the New Kingdom(not modern day).
Historians noticed they could distinguish three different times in Egypt's history. The three kingdoms were time periods of Ancient Egypt. Each era represented a different time of growth in Egypt. In the Old Kingdom Pharaoh's were considered gods and ruled supremely over the land. In the Middle Kingdom Egypt experienced a Golden Age. Pharaoh's were expected to be good and wise leaders. In the New Kingdom Egypt became a world power and expanded their borders. Pharaoh's were also the most powerful person in the land.
