mainly, air consists of (about) 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, and 1% Argon and water vapour in variable amounts

in traces there is the famous carbondioxid (0.038%=380ppm), or neon (18180ppm) and many many more. For these gases amount doesn't equal importance. the biggest part (Nitrogen) is mostly passive, while smallest amounts of Ozone or an increase of carbondioxid can have massive effects.

Also aerosol (dust, pollen or soot) are naturally part of the atmosphere
