What are the negative effects of multiculturalism?

The bad side to a multicultural society is that it diminishes the country as its culture is dialuted. England for example is very multicultural but traditional English places has been mixed with foreign take-aways.

The countries may also changes for tourists e.g. traditional dances will be performed to tourists and edited to suit tourists, loosing the dances purity and original meaning.

Believing in certain values and traditions when you are in a country which has the opposite ideals, can sometimes cause conflict. For example if a group of people immigrated to a country and decided the elders of the group should decide punishments for crimes done by people in the group and not letting police get involved.

well that's about it, I'm trying to write an essay on this and it is soooo hard!

People from different cultures sometimes don't get along because of all the different opinions but you get to learn stuff about different cultures like their food, their way of thinking and how they percieve the country they have moved to........plz write sumthing n here i need the answer plzzz

yh some ppl don't lyk the way other reilgions have their lifestyle. meaning lyk christians N Jews hav problems, Muslims N Jews. not to be racist itz jus an example.

also somehtimes certain people show a bad example of their religion making others think that religion is bad.

Ethnicity is itself an identitiy which differ from others,being member of an ethnicity it is to have same language,culture,living place and background. diversity in ethnicity create the identity crisis which leads to the violence. the disagreement can be stopped for granting the identiy recognition. ethnic conflicts also threatens the national security.

As much as people would like to believe that diversity is always good, it is simply not true. There are two easy answers to this question, and both are intuitively as well as empiracally true.

First, diverse groups tend to take more time to set goals, plan, achieve consensus, and gather resources toward accomplishing a goal. This is because diverse people bring diverse viewpoints and diverse interests. I should note this is not always bad; in fact it is usually good. However, if time is precious, this could be a problem.

Second, diverse groups tend to experience more "friction" in group interactions, which can lead to more serious interpersonal problems. Again this is not always a bad thing, but it should be noted that the most dangerous diverse groups are those whose attitudes and personal goals do not match.
