Windows 8's new features includes the new start panel, full screen apps witch can be switch - launched to desktop, instant app searching, new login panel, & colors theme for EVERYTHING. I'm using one now.
Windows Calender is included with Windows Vista. It is not included with Windows 7 or 8, but can be copied over to Windows 7 and 8 from Windows Vista.

Internet Explorer 8 is included by default in Windows 7.

The Windows 8 product key is an individualized software key that you need to enter in before Windows 8 will activate. This should come included when you buy Windows 8 or get it as a Windows subscriber. If you do not have a windows 8 key, you will have to buy a version of the software to get it. The system may work for several days, but will stop working if you do not eventually authenticate the system.
