The main objective of first aid training is to help the people in case of emergency. Its only purpose to reach is to teach non-medical personnel how to apply common sense in helping their injured fellows.
I did a first aid course once and I remember this order to give aid
Breathing - get the patient breathing first (if they have stopped)
Bleeding - stop any bleeding, arterial or venous
Fracture - imobilise or strap or??? any fractures
Shock - treat the patient for shock- keep warm make comfortable.
Hope this is some help.
