The objective is for the banks to be able to lend businesses money to purchase assets with that will grow their business so they can hire more people, produce more goods, create more sales, and stimulate the economy, while at the same time making enough profit off of the new assets to be able to pay the money back in a timely fashion with interest included so the bank also profits off of the transaction.
