The respiratory system is responsible for the gas exchange to the different parts of the body. The organs of the respiratory system include the nose, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs. There are two types of respiration: 1) Aerobic, which takes place in the presence of oxygen, and 2) Anaerobic, which doesn't need oxygen. The organs carry out aerobic respiration and fulfill the oxygen demands of the body.
