Horcruxes: Cup, locket, ring, diadem, harry, snake, diary.
He dies when Harry finally kills alll of his horcruxes and Harry gets to kill him.
He is killed by Severus Snape with the Avada Kedavra Killing Curse on his own orders after placing on his finger the ring cursed by Lord Voldemort.
yes, the other horcruxes are:1. Tom Riddle's Diary 2. Marvolo Gaunt's Ring 3. Slytherin's Locket 4. Helga Hufflepuff's Cup 5. The Diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw 6. (unknown to Voldemort) Harry Potter himself. 7. Nagini the snake
Harry does not die because Voldemort kills the part of his own soul that resides in Harry's body. When Voldemort first tried to kill Harry as a baby, he unknowingly split his soul again and made Harry a Horcrux. Dumbledore suspected it and he knew that Harry must "die" if Voldemort was to be killed. Does that make any sense? I hope it does! <3
When he is in his final duel with Harry Potter he attempts to kills Harry Potter with the killing curse with Dumbledore's wand (The deathly Hallow Wand) which should have been given to Draco but Harry beat Draco in a duel so he was the owner and Dumbledore's wand backfires when Harry tries the disarming spell so Tom Riddle gets hit by his own spell.
When Lord Voldemort went to kill Harry Potter, James Potter (Harry's father) tried to hold off Voldemort and told Lily Potter (Harry's mother) to run and protect Harry. However, Voldemort killed James and moved on to Lily. She pleaded with him and risked her life to save Harry. When Voldemort told her to move aside, she refused, and he killed her with "Avada Kedavra" which is the unforgivable curse that kills people. When he tried to murder Harry, it backfired and Voldemort became powerless. Lily's love formed a protection over Harry. She used love, a power Voldemort never had, the oldest known form of magic, to keep Harry safe. She died to protect him, and Harry lived. This is why Harry had to live with the Dursley family, because since Petunia Dursley (Harry's aunt) was the only living relative of Lily, the power is in her blood as well, which keeps the protective charm on Harry. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter survived because Lord Voldemort only killed the Horcrux that was inside Harry.
Lord Voldemort was never immortal. He spent the majority of his life trying to make sure that he would never truly die, but he did this by creating Horcruxes which were destroyed. Once Harry had sourced and destroyed all of the Horcruxes, there was nothing different about Voldemort. So when he was hit by a killing curse he died, just like anybody would. He wasn't really immortal.
It is about Harry Potter, "the chosen one", a wizard boy who must save the world from the evil wizard Lord Voldemort. To do so, he must locate and destroy horcruxes, magical items which contain pieces of Voldemort's soul - unless you destroy the horcruxes, Voldemort can't die.
Yes, Lord Voldemort did die in the end of the seventh Harry Potter book. When Voldemort killed Harry, he killed the part of himself inside of him as Harry was one of the Horcruxes. When Harry was carried back to the castle, Neville killed Nagini (Voldemort's Snake) which destroyed the last Horcrux. Harry then had a little dramatic scene where he and Voldemort are shooting one long strand of magic at each other and Harry overpowers Voldemort and kills him.
dumbledoor did, yes
Lord Voldemort died in the Great Hall at Hogwarts. In the movie, this was changed to the Courtyard at Hogwarts.
No
He can't just kill Voldemort without destroying the horcruxes first because he can just come back as he won't really die.
Yes.
Voldemort killed him to try to get to Harry..
No, he does not. If you remember in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Dumbledore's Army traveled to the ministry of magic, where Harry found his Prophecy. It said "Neither one can live, while the other survives." Which meant one of them had to die eventually for the other to survive.
Lily Potter died for Harry and the loved she showed was something Voldemort could never understand. Therefore his killing curse backfired and it hit Voldemort. However, Voldemort has already made five Horcruxes and so couldn't die. A piece of Voldemort's soul escaped from his body and was forced to latch on to the only other living resource in that area, which was Harry, creating an accidental Horcrux that Voldemort knew nothing about. That is how Harry inherited the ability to speak to snakes and had a connection to Voldemort. When the Horcrux was removed he could no longer speak to snakes.
A horcrux is an object in which a piece of one's soul is placed. Voldemort, the antagonist of the series, has seven horcruxes. Horcruxes are very, very dark magic, and when one has a horcrux, they can never truly die.
